Ashland
On the beautiful Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior, Ashland is the home of the annual Governor's Cup Snowmobile Race, the Red Clay Classic Stock Car Race, and its annual Bay Day's Celebration.

Apostle Islands
Beautiful and historic islands of Lake Superior with guided tours available throughout the summer. Learn about the history of Great Lakes shipping and the unique lighthouses that dot the shores of these islands.

Bayfield
This quaint town of old Victorian homes, antique shops, and small shops is nestled on a point overlooking Lake Superior. Home of the annual Applefest in the first week of October, this small town swells to over 50,000 people to enjoy the many events and quiet relaxation of fall in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin. (The apples are great!)

Brule
Home of the Brule River (Calvin Coolidge's favorite retreat for great trout fishing and relaxation) with canoeing in the summer season and wonderful winter cross-country skiing.

Cable
Home of the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski race (one of the biggest in North America) the last week of February each year. This is one of the finest snowmobile and ski (downhill and cross county) areas in the Midwest. Many fine resorts and great fishing lakes for walleye, muskie and pan fish. Wonderful family recreation area all year around. Also home to the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, an annual mountain bike competition.

Drummond
In the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest, this is the area for prime hunting and stream and lake fishing.

Grand View
Home of the "Firehouse 50" bike race. Live the life of a country gentleman with easy access to the largest towns and cities of Ashland and Bayfield counties.

Iron River
On US Highway 2 for easy access, the place for quiet relaxation and family vacations among the many resorts. You'll find fine restaurants and numerous summer and winter events including the summer Blueberry Festival (the song Blueberry Hill was written in Iron River) and winter's annual dog sled races and hub of hundreds of miles of excellently groomed snowmobile trails.

Madeline Island
Use the winter ice road across Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay or the ferry boat in summer to visit this beautiful and unique island retreat with its shops, beautiful homes and wonderful views.

Mellen
Midwest northwoods small town life at its best. Nice country homes and farms dot the area.

Washburn
The county seat of Bayfield County on the shores of Lake Superior, be sure to see some of the beautiful homes on the shore and hills overlooking the Bay.
